Born and raised on the west and south sides of Chicago, and later Saginaw, Michigan, Greg Wilson got his start by serving his county in the United States Air Force. He rose quickly to the rank of Sergeant and amassed an impressive collection of awards, decorations and honors. After his first enlistment, he worked as a systems analyst and contractor in the areas of insurance, banking and investments, telecommunications and transportation. He is an ordained elder and has also worked as an executive producer on music projects.
Greg earned his undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies and Religious Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio while working full time and supporting a family. He went onto obtain his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 2009 and has been licensed since November of 2009.
Greg’s legal career started, literally, the day he was licensed, when he opened an office in the Milam Building and started taking criminal appointments. In January of 2010 he started as a misdemeanor prosecutor in the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, where he served in the Juvenile Division. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Greg started practicing family law, serving parents and children as an ad litem attorney in Child Protective Services cases, and eventually became the first Black Regional Attorney in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Servies’ Region 8. Prior to joining the firm, Greg served as the Senior Felony Trial Attorney at the Atascosa Area Advocates Public Defender’s Office. His experience also includes, wills and probate, and personal injury law. His experience has garnered him a very broad skillset which he employs to achieve the best results for his clients.
Greg’s greatest accomplishment is his three children, all of whom are accomplished musicians, sharing their father’s love of music and singing. His favorite season is football season, and he is a diehard Raiders fan.
